Cleaning grout is a tedious and time consuming task. I have been putting it off for some time now for this very reason. I knew that it was going to take more than just mopping my floors to get the grout clean. I was going to have to get down on my hands and knees and scrub around each and every tile.

What was I going to use that would make my job easier?

One of the things I love about Young Living is the versatility of their products. Any one product can perform a myriad of tasks. I decided to try out several different products to see which one did the best job. I marked off different sections of grout and applied them for easy comparison. I was delighted to find that they all worked well, but one in particular did an outstanding job.

It’s dirty work, but smells soooo good!

What I used:

#1 Thieves Household Cleaner, baking soda, and Lemon oil

#2 Thieves Dish Soap

#3 Thieves Laundry Soap

#4 Lemon oil

#5 Peroxide

#6 Thieves Aromabright Toothpaste

#7 White vinegar

I shouldn’t be surprised that I achieved the best results with the Thieves Household Cleaner/baking soda/Lemon oil paste. It turned my grout into a wonderful, bright white. The other Thieves products did a great job, but when compared to each other, the Thieves paste ranks #1.

Thieves Grout Cleaning Paste

In a bowl, mix desired amount of baking soda, Thieves Household Cleaner, and Lemon oil to create a nice paste. With a spoon or your finger, spread the paste along the grout lines. With a wet nail brush or toothbrush, scrub the paste into the grout. Let it set for a bit before rinsing with a wet sponge or rag.
