Excited is an understatement describing how I feel about empowering others to make healthy choices using natural remedies. I get so fired-up when I think about how toxic all the products are that we use on a daily basis all the while unaware of the hidden dangers. We believe these products to be safe merely because they are allowed to be on the shelves at the store in the first place. We unknowingly buy and use household cleaners thinking we are doing good. The problem is these products are absolutely, 100%, NOT safe. In fact, they pose great risk to your and your family’s health. I don’t believe I need to go into the stats and research about the effects because you probably see them everyday, either in your own family, your friends or acquaintances. We wonder why younger and younger people are developing cancer. We wonder why so many young women are experiencing infertility, breast cancer and other reproductive issues. We wonder why more and more children are being diagnosed with autism, ADHD, food allergies and asthma. Really?? Is it that shocking when we see that our food sources are genetically modified, sprayed with pesticides and then laden with chemicals for packaging? Or what about when we “read” the back labels of our personal care and home products and can’t pronounce the words? We are told to call poison control in the event that it gets accidentally ingested. Should this be a red flag? I think it would scare you to death if you knew what these ingredients were doing to your body. Without any thought we put these things on our skin and in our lungs.
So many people have fallen into the trap of just doing things the way they have always been done and never question: Is this good or right? I used to believe that cleaning my home with bleach was the best solution because I was killing all the bacteria, germs and viruses…right? I thought that having air-fresheners in my home to make it smell pleasant was totally fine. You may not be ready to hear this but it’s not totally fine. In fact, it’s horrible for you. The chemicals in all these products are disrupting your endocrine system, suppressing your immune system and wreaking havoc on your respiratory system. I confess, it was a gradual process for me to excommunicate these products from my home. It was hard to let go of them because I believed for so long that they were benefiting my family. But if I can do it, you can do it! For the sake of your and your family’s health, you NEED to do it.
I’m on a mission. I want to teach people to do what I was taught to do. Educating, encouraging and empowering others to be proactive with their health is what I am passionate about. Starting with the things in our home is our first step. Removing these risk factors will have a positive impact on our health. You can eat a healthy diet, exercise, and even use natural remedies but if you don’t create a healthy healing home then it’s like taking a shower and then putting your dirty clothes back on. I know I might be challenging a deep-rooted mindset and way of doing things but I promise you, this is going to be one of the most important things you can do for your health.
It’s time to take out the garbage. You no longer need your bleach, your antibacterial soaps, your plug-ins, and toxic room sprays. They are no longer welcome in your home. Stick with me and I will show you inexpensive, effective, SAFE(chemical-free) and health supporting ways to keep your home clean, great smelling and a joy to be in.
